Primary series. Ashtanga Yoga. The first step towards complete health. There are 6 series in this system of physical Yoga Asana practice, each created with different intention. Shri K Pattabhi Jois has created the Primary series with the digestive system in mind, as it is the first system to heal, being the root of most disease in the body. At Flow Yoga School we practice the Primary series on Fridays at 2pm, Mysore style. This means we all go as far as we are able to in the series, learn from each other and our own body. Anyone is welcome, at any level of their practice. This image shows you exactly what postures this series includes. They are each connected through Vinyasa, (which means: breath and motion connection.)
